Performance

Pavel is available as a solo jazz pianist as well as leader of small jazz combos for various performances at jazz festivals, cultural events, special parties/wedding receptions, etc. Either original music or standards can be presented to the audience at various settings.

Composition and Arranging

Besides writing for his own pleasure and inspiration, Pavel also takes commissions for special music arrangements, such as independent movie projects, short films and cartoons, commercials, presentations, theatres, musicals, grand openings, celebration events, wedding ceremonies and more. His original compositions have been inspired by many concepts, but to name a few, there is a mixture of contemporary jazz and classical music, computer and electro-acoustic generated sounds, European Slavic heritage folk music, and collective improvisation. Below you can find only very partial archive of my contemporary compositions, with some excerpts being included in the MP3 section of my web site:

solo: clarinet, marimba, double-bass, flute, vibraphone . . .
duets: voice and piano, flute and piano, piano and violin, vibraphone and marimba, trumpet and trombone, violin and percussion, oboe and bassoon . . .
trios: flute, organ and percussion
quartets: string quartet, trombone quartet . . .

At SonicAdventures I can create complex, print ready scores/parts for solo instruments, chamber ensembles, big band ensembles and more. Recording & Mastering, Gear List (2008)

Philosophy:

ìI believe that a high quality musician, who understands current technology and developments in digital audio industry, is the best choice for a recording engineer's job. Simply stated only advanced musician with huge, I mean huge open ears can react in a musical way to make proper adjustments.  In a way, recording and mixing is very adventurous and creative process, where terms such as musical compression, dimensional depth, or mixture of instruments are being applied, just like spices are in the cooking business.  Having great imagination and knowledge of his gear, recording engineer can generally satisfy even the most demanding customers.

At SonicAdventures we strive to provide the best possible capture of the sound, without compromising the imagination of the client during the mixing
process.  SonicAdventures generally specializes in classical or jazz live recordings, although private recording sessions can also be arranged.
